Where Does Stiffness Usually Occur
Fibromyalgia morning stiffness will usually occur in the joints, muscles, tendons, as well as in the ligaments all over the body. It can be felt in any of the connective tissues. If you have stiffness on your joint and muscles, going to work can become difficult. In fact, even driving a car or getting out of bed can be such a pain. Here are some ways to get relieve from morning stiffness:
- Avoid sleeping in the cold as it can stiffen your body. Adjust your air conditioner when necessary
- Cultivate good sleeping posture such as lying on your back or your side. Bad sleeping postures can cause aches and stiffness. It could help if you use a good pillow.
- Soaking in a nice hot bath or taking a hot shower. This can better blood circulation, induce relaxation and relieve muscle spasms.
- Do some easy stretching on your bed. It can help to promote blood circulation and loosen your muscles. You will find it easier to stretch after a hot bath or shower
